I’m so excited to announce the inaugural cookbook for the Get Planty Cookbook Club. Are you ready? I’m ready! Our first cookbook is: Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking: 101 Entirely Plant-based, Mostly Gluten-Free, Easy and Delicious Recipes by Dana Shultz. Oh yeah.
This cookbook is yum with a MONSTER Y! (And no, it’s not a baking book. But I sure like the idea of a full month of baking!)
Dana and her hubs, John, started Minimalist Baker in 2012 and it is one of my favoritest food blogs. Aside from all of the delicious food photography, what I love most about MB is how accessible it always feels to me. I look at Dana’s recipes, read her friendly instructions and think “okay, I can do that!” And I just love that. MB makes me feel at home.
So, I thought this cookbook would be the perfect place for us to start our new cooking club adventure together. All of the MB cookbook recipes require 30 minutes or less, 1 bowl or 1 pot, or 10 ingredients or less to prepare. Boom.
All of the recipes are vegan and mostly gluten-free. The nutrition info is provided for each one and Dana hooks us up with tips, methods and resource info. Each week you’ll decide which recipe(s) floats your boat and then we’ll all share our experience back at the clubhouse. Share photos, share what worked, what didn’t, exchange tips, ask questions, etc. Let’s make it a party!
It’s going to be SO fun and I can’t wait to see what you make. Oh and if you share your dish photos outside of the group on facebook, instagram or twitter, please use the hashtag #GPcookbookclub so we can all find/support each other. We get started the first week of June. You can buy the MB cookbook here (print & kindle), borrow from a friend or check it out of your local library.
I’ll be giving away one free copy of the MB cookbook in a few days, so be sure to join the Clubhouse to get all the details on how to enter!
