Avocado's luscious fat makes for the perfect mask base. It is loaded with vitamin E, vitamin B and antioxidants (not to mention it has more potassium than bananas and tons of fiber!). Dry oatmeal is perfect as a natural exfoliant to remove dead skin cells. Honey possesses antimicrobial properties, as well as wound-healing activity. Lemon is a vitamin C powerhouse acting as a great toner, while apple cider vinegar balances the skin's pH and works as an astringent killing bad bacteria with acetic acid. WHAT YOU NEED:
½ ripe avocado
¼ cup uncooked rolled oats
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp raw honey
1 tsp lemon juice
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1) Mash the avocado and mix all of the ingredients in a bowl.
2) Apply to your face (be cautious around the eye area, please.)
3) Wear mask for approx 20 minutes and then rinse gently with warm water.
