To Read: One Part Plant by Jessica Murnane. I was so delighted to come across this book because it totally jives with the VeggieMighty philosophy. Part story/part recipe book, Jessica doesn’t try to convert you to anything or sell a diet plan. She shares her personal story with health, plant-based food and offers easy tools & recipes so you can make plant sources the star of just one meal a day. Totally chill and stress free. I love her honesty and sense of humor.
To Make: Creamy Mushroom Lasagna (dairy & gluten free) by Jessica Murnane. Because creamy + lasagna = happy cozy belly feels.
To Use: Miracle-Gro AeroGarden Harvest (LCD Control Panel) I’ve always wanted to grow my own herbs, veggies and salad greens, but I a) don’t have a green thumb, b) haven’t lived anywhere that was conducive to having a garden, c) probably wouldn’t have the time to care for an outdoor garden if I had one. Luckily, there now seems to be a solution for people like me – enter the amazing technology of the indoor garden. An actual mini garden that sits on your countertop with minimal fuss while working its growing magic year-round. I just ordered mine.
To Watch/Listen: Do What You Can’t by Casey Neistat Watch this video, share it with everyone you know and tell them to watch it, too.
To Know: Caris Reid Caris is a NYC based artist that I came across online about a month ago. An image of one of her paintings jumped off the screen, grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go. I’m not kidding. I’ve always admired art in galleries and museums, but have never ever been moved to actually want to purchase an artist’s work. Until this painting. It hit me THAT hard. I’ve since purchased the painting and am over-the-moon excited to have it in my home soon. It is part of her HEALER. FEELER. SEER. SEEN. collection and will be on display at her solo exhibition in LA at Ochi projects April 13-May 21. Healer. Feeler. Seer. Seen. consists of a series of paintings on panel created in Joshua Tree, California, that are informed by female archetypes of the healer, the healing and the energetic spaces created between them. Pure soul food.
